Purpose 

To define the metrics, standards, and required thresholds that newly acquired healthcare providers must meet to qualify for their certification bonus. This ensures alignment with EPIC's operational and clinical standards, whose commitment to excellence in patient care, provider quality, and regulatory compliance is paramount.  

Scope 

Applies to all acquired providers under the EPIC Health enterprise across all clinical sites and business units. This SOP outlines universal thresholds: specific measurement periods will be determined during acquisition negotiations and formalized in the onboarding contract.  

Performance Metrics and Thresholds 

Each of the following thresholds must be met within the mutually agreed timeline to qualify for the certification bonus:

Productivity (Black Belt RVU Status) 

≥ 80% 

Provider must maintain ≥ 80% of the target RVU defined for Black Belt status within their specialty and care model. RVU tracking and reporting will be standardized via EPIC analytics. 

Adherence to the EPIC Way 

Full adherence required 

This includes: - Compliance with the ACT model workflows and incident-to billing protocols. - Utilization of the Ps in the Pod framework (Prevention, PDCM, Point-of-Care, Follow-Up). - Appropriate utilization of care pathways. 

Patient Experience (NPS) 

≥ 95% 

Maintain a Net Promoter Score of 95% or higher, derived from verified post-visit and longitudinal patient feedback. 

Employee Retention 

≥ 85% 

Clinical team(s) under the provider must retain ≥ 85% of their original team within the measurement period. Includes APPs, RNs, and medical assistants. 

Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance Adherence 

Full compliance 

Provider must pass quarterly audits with zero critical non-compliance related to documentation, licensure, billing, or practice protocols. Must align with current and future EPIC standards and legal mandates. 

Measurement Timelines  

Timelines for achieving each metric are to be agreed upon during the acquisition process and formalized in the provider’s onboarding documentation. Milestones may be quarterly, biannual, or customized based on-site integration complexity.  

Monitoring and Reporting 


  • Monthly Performance Reviews led by the Provider Success Team.  

  • Quarterly Dashboards with red/yellow/green performance scoring.  

  • Final Certification Bonus Review at the end of the defined measurement period.  


Approval and Payment 

After certification is complete per the metrics outlined above Operations will do the following so the bonus payment can be issued 


  1. Complete a Payroll Request Form found here Employee_Payment_Request_Form 2.xlsx Complete the Certification Bonus Authorization (see below).

Based on this verification, Operations confirms that Dr. ________ is eligible to receive the certification bonus in accordance with their employment agreement.
